Genuine British Army Maroon Airborne Forces Beret – Various Sizes
Genuine British Army issue maroon beret associated with British Airborne Forces, available in Grade 1 and Grade 2 surplus condition and a range of genuine military sizes.
The distinctive maroon beret is one of the most recognisable pieces of British military headwear and is associated with the Parachute Regiment and British Airborne Forces. Genuine British Army issue examples are widely sold and identified as Airborne Forces/Parachute Regiment maroon berets.
These are genuine British military surplus, not reproduction costume berets.

Condition
Grade 1
Good used, serviceable military surplus.
Grade 1 berets have previously been issued or used but remain in good overall condition.
Normal characteristics may include:
- light shaping from previous wear;
- minor fading;
- light cosmetic marks;
- internal service or ownership markings;
- slight wear to the headband;
- minor storage marks; and
- other light signs of genuine military use.
They remain smart, presentable and fully suitable for normal use, collections or display.
Grade 2
Used military surplus showing more obvious evidence of previous service.
Grade 2 examples remain suitable for the purpose described but may display more noticeable characteristics such as:
- heavier fading;
- more obvious shaping;
- marks or staining;
- wear to the internal lining or headband;
- service/ownership markings;
- shortened or missing drawcords;
- minor repairs; or
- greater cosmetic wear.
Current genuine used examples can show characteristics such as missing/shortened drawcords and signs of previous issue, so I'd specifically inspect for these when deciding between your two grades.
Any significant individual defect that goes beyond what we consider reasonable for the advertised grade will be stated where appropriate.
Military beret sizing
British military berets are normally sized according to head circumference in centimetres.
For example:
Size 58 = approximately 58 cm head circumference
To determine your size, use a soft measuring tape around the widest part of your head, approximately 2.5 cm above the eyebrows and just above the ears.
Keep the tape comfortably snug without pulling it tight.
Select your required condition and size from the options.
