Condition Guide

New / Unissued

Unused surplus with no meaningful evidence of previous service wear. Storage marks or minor age-related variation may still be present.

Like New

Excellent condition with little or no obvious evidence of previous use.

Grade 1

Good used, fully serviceable military surplus.

May show normal signs of previous use such as light shaping, minor marks, previous badge holes, ownership markings or modest cosmetic wear.

Grade 2

Heavily used but serviceable surplus. Expect more obvious wear, fading, shaping or cosmetic marks while remaining suitable for the purpose described.

Unserviceable

Items with major holes, major damage or other defects making them unsuitable for normal retail sale.

Sizing

Beret sizes are measured according to head circumference in centimetres.

For example:

Size 56 = approximately 56 cm head circumference
Size 58 = approximately 58 cm head circumference
Size 60 = approximately 60 cm head circumference

Measure around the head approximately 2.5 cm above the eyebrows, just above the ears and around the widest part at the rear.
