Size

British Army Desert DPM UBACS Combat Shirt, designed as a lightweight combat layer for wear beneath body armour and load-carrying equipment.

The shirt combines a breathable tan torso with durable Desert DPM (DDPM) sleeves and shoulders, reducing bulk around the body while providing greater protection across exposed areas.

Originally designed for warm-weather operational use, the UBACS remains a practical option for fieldcraft, airsoft, cadet activities, outdoor use or military collections.

Features

  • British Army Desert DPM pattern
  • Lightweight tan moisture-wicking torso
  • Desert DPM sleeves and shoulders
  • Half-length front zip
  • High stand collar
  • Large upper-arm pockets
  • Hook-and-loop patch panels
  • Reinforced/padded arm areas
  • Button-adjustable cuffs
  • Designed for wear beneath body armour

The original military design uses a Coolmax-style moisture-wicking body, with polycotton Desert DPM sleeves; contemporary surplus descriptions also note IRR-treated sleeves and additional padding around high-wear areas.

Condition — Grade 1

Grade 1 garments are used military surplus in good, fully serviceable condition.

They may display normal signs of previous issue and use, including:

  • Light fading
  • Minor marks or staining
  • Previous owner's or service markings
  • Minor cosmetic wear
  • Small differences in colour or camouflage shade

There should be no major holes or damage affecting normal use.

Individual garments will naturally vary as a result of their surplus origin.
